1、 Effect of temperature on Piglets
When piglets are exposed to low temperature, they are prone to diarrhea, cold shock and other diseases, resulting in insufficient resistance and death.
2、 The effect of temperature on the reproduction of breeding pigs
Compared with the young pigs, the sows are generally large and fat, and they have strong tolerance to low temperature, but poor tolerance to high temperature. The suitable temperature of sows is 18 ℃ ~ 25 ℃. When the ambient temperature is higher than 25 ℃, sows will have heat stress reaction. When the temperature is higher than 28 ℃, the feed intake of sows will decrease by 0.4 ~ 0.5 kg per day for every 1 ℃ rise, which will significantly reduce the lactation of sows, thus reducing the growth performance of piglets and the immunity to diseases. In the high temperature environment, boars mainly show low libido, decreased sperm density and quality.
3、 Effect of temperature on the growth performance of growing and finishing pigs
The main effects of temperature on growing and finishing pigs include feed intake, growth speed, feed to weight ratio, health level and other aspects, of which the impact of feed to weight ratio is also concerned by the farms, too high or too low temperature will have a negative impact on feed to weight ratio.
